Privacy for the Ukiyo-e app and ukiyo-e.uk

This policy covers two distinct services: the read-only Ukiyo-e iPhone and iPad app, and the ukiyo-e.uk educational contribution website. The app does not provide website accounts or upload forms. Website account and request information is not copied into the app.

The Ukiyo-e app

The app does not collect or transmit analytics, searches, favorites, viewing history, workshop interactions, seals, journey progress, advertising identifiers, or account information. Favorites, history, progress, and experience state remain on the device. CloudKit is used to download public artwork records, approved images, source and rights information, curation, and removal notices. StoreKit processes purchases. Optional notifications are scheduled on the device. Image export uses Apple system interfaces selected by the user.

The app keeps a bounded local image cache. A user may clear that cache in Settings. When an approved rights removal is synchronized, the matching local catalog record and cached image are deleted. The app does not write user data to the website or public CloudKit database.

The ukiyo-e.uk website

The website is used for educational catalog contributions, support requests, source corrections, and rights or removal notices.

Information we collect

When you request an account or submit material, we collect your name, school email address, student code, a securely derived password hash, authentication session data, the image and metadata you provide, source and rights evidence, submission timestamps, and review history. Support and rights forms collect the contact details, statements, signatures, and locations you submit. Cloudflare processes limited request and security data needed to deliver and protect the service.

How we use it

To review the accuracy, source, rights status, and technical quality of a contribution.
To contact you about corrections, withdrawal, provenance, or a rights concern.
To maintain an audit trail for the educational project and prevent duplicate or abusive submissions.

What may be shared with the app

Only an approved image and its approved catalog metadata, source institution, source record link, rights or license label, terms link, and attribution may be copied to the app's public catalog. Your name, email address, student code, password hash, session data, private upload object, and review history are not copied to the app or its public CloudKit database.

Storage and access

Uploads remain private while pending review. Access to contributor details and original files is restricted to authorized project reviewers. The public app remains read-only and does not provide a contribution or community account system.

Retention, withdrawal, and deletion

Approved account holders may check or withdraw pending submissions. Rejected account requests may be removed after the review period. Support and rights requests are retained as needed to answer the request, document decisions, resolve disputes, and comply with law. Approved catalog provenance may be retained to document the source of published educational material. Private R2 image objects are deleted after successful publication, rejection, withdrawal, or an approved rights removal. To request correction or deletion of account details, contact the project and include your account email and any relevant submission ID.

浮世絵アプリとukiyo-e.ukのプライバシー

本方針は、読み取り専用のiPhone・iPadアプリと、教育投稿サイトukiyo-e.ukを区別して説明します。アプリにはウェブサイトのアカウント作成・投稿機能はなく、ウェブサイトの個人情報をアプリへ複製しません。

浮世絵アプリ

アプリは解析データ、検索内容、お気に入り、閲覧履歴、摺師体験の操作、印、旅程進捗、広告識別子、アカウント情報を収集・送信しません。CloudKitは公開作品、承認画像、出典・権利情報、策展資料、削除通知の取得に使用し、StoreKitは購入処理に使用します。取得済み画像は容量上限のある端末内キャッシュに保存され、承認済み削除通知の同期時に該当レコードとキャッシュを削除します。

ukiyo-e.ukウェブサイト

収集する情報

アカウント申請・提出時に、氏名、学校メールアドレス、学籍コード、安全に導出されたパスワードハッシュ、認証セッション情報、提出画像とメタデータ、出典・利用条件の根拠、提出日時、審査履歴、およびサービスの保護に必要な限定的なセキュリティログを収集します。

利用目的

資料の正確性、出典、権利状態、技術品質を審査するため。
修正、取り下げ、来歴、権利上の問題について連絡するため。
教育プロジェクトの監査記録を維持し、重複・不正提出を防ぐため。

アプリと共有される情報

承認された画像と、承認済みの目録情報、所蔵機関、出典レコード、ライセンス・利用条件、クレジットのみがアプリの公開目録へ複製される場合があります。氏名、メールアドレス、学籍コード、パスワードハッシュ、セッション情報、非公開の原本、審査履歴は、アプリや公開CloudKitデータベースへ複製されません。

保管・取り下げ・削除

審査中の画像は非公開で保管されます。承認済みアカウントで、審査中の提出を確認または取り下げできます。一般・プライバシーの問い合わせはサポート、権利・削除要請は権利・削除要請ページをご利用ください。
