Catalog note / 解説

A sparrow and wheat. Konobu was one of the last Osaka masters whose woodblock postcards were highly sought after by Japanese collectors. This print was a part of a publisher's sample album which was sent to various vendors. These well-made sample albums were mostly used in Kansai area and were quite rare outside of Japan because they were never exported.
