Thursday, 4 August 2005 Sakuma Morimasa (佐久間盛政, 1554 - July 1, 83) is a retainer of Shibata Katsuie. Morimasa beat Nakagawa Kiyohide at the Battle of Shizugatake (1583) but pursued his victory too far. His forces were surprised and crushed by reinforcements sent by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Morimasa fled but was captured and beheaded.
