Catalog note / 解説

Very large color woodblock print by very important Modern Master Kiyoshi Saito. The image depicts a very abstract woman knitting, not unlike work of French impressionists. Image alone measures 15-1/2 x 20-1/2", whole print measures 17 -3/8" x 23". Signed on image Kiyoshi Saito, underneath in pencil, "Knitting" 65/100, 1966. Condition is as excellent as I have ever had, found in a museum quality matt, attached at top by two tiny pieces of conservators tape, not glued down, no toning, tears, etc.
