The Japanese torpedo boats fired at the Russian squadron and sank three Russian battle ships in Port Arthur on February 8th. The Russo-Japanese war prints were much rarer than Sino-Japanese war prints. By then, the woodblock prints for the purpose of news reporting were largely replaced by other mass-production methods.
