Title Hair Artist Koshiro Onchi 1891-1955 Signature "Onchi Koshiro" printed on the left margin, "1930. Ko" embossed on the bottom left. Dated 1930 Publisher Mokuransha Medium/Technique Woodblock print. Description "Fukigami". Cleaning her hair. Koshiro ONCHI was a leader of Sosaku-Hanga movement and was the pioneer of abstract arts in Japan. He led the new and experimental expressions in printing art during the early 20th century through right after W.W.II. His contributions for the establishment of Japan Print Association and Japan Sosaku-Hanga Association were great. Width Item 9.1 inches = 23.0 cm Height Item 11.0 inches = 28.0 cm
