Frontispiece illustration for a novel "Kou-ren Bai-ren" ("Red Lotus, White Lotus") from the popular literary magazine, Bungei Kurabu Vol7 No.8, in Meiji - Taisho era. Here, a woman is quite involved in her knitting, although there is a panoramic view from the balcony outside of her room.
