Catalog note / 解説

From an album of Kyogen performances, "Kyogen-ga Taikan", No.2. "Oni Kiyomizu". Taro-kaja disguised as a demon to frighten his master who wanted to bring back water from Kiyomizu. Kyogen is performed during the intermission of Noh plays. Unlike the solemn, formal and symbolic noh theater, kyogen makes the audience laugh with their comical dialog and lively movements.
