Catalog note / 解説

Red torii stands at a foot of hill in a snow falling night. Toshijiro was a famous kimono designer. He received the highest honor as artist, "Ningen Kokuho" (Intangible Cultural Property, so-called Living National Treasures), from Japanese government in 1962. He designed only handful woodblock prints in the 1950s.
