This is an original watercolour painting, of the finest quality, by Terauchi (Meiji Period, Japan). I have had this confirmed by expert, specialist opinion and I will gladly give details of this. The painting measures 20" by 13" and is in excellent condition. It was professionally framed immediately after purchase by my family in the 1930s. The signature of the artist, Terauchi, is painted in blue at the lower left corner. The painting is of a beautiful scene of a bamboo forest, the centre of which is bathed in soft, golden sunlight, filtering through the trees.
