Catalog note / 解説

From the album series, "Rimpa Hyakka Fu" (One Hundered Flowers by Rimpa Artists). Plum blossoms. "Rimpa" was a decorative school founded by Sotatsu in early 17th century. Korin further developed its boldly simplified natural forms. His strikingly modern creations were moved into the spotlight again in 20th century by Sekka KAMISAKA (1866-1942).
