Catalog note / 解説

"Miono-Matsubara". From "The Second Series; Japan" which included 6 prints depicting famous sceneries of Japan. "The First Series" featured various sites in India. He was very accomplished water colorist and preferred vivid, pastel colors. This design with the silhouette of Mt. Fuji in fine gradations and Ukiyo-e style clouds particularly shows the influence of Hiroshige.
