Catalog note / 解説

"Haru no Ho no Omoide". Iwao Akiyama, like Akio ONDA, was one of the excellent pupils of Shiko MUNAKATA. He learned the dynamic black and white composition typical to the "Munakata School". But his amiable owls and semi-abstract figures were distinctively his own.
