Catalog note / 解説

Maiko from a series of Four Maikos by Terashima Shimei. Original Japanese woodblock print circa 1961. Edition 62 of 200 in left margin. Exceedingly nice details including gold and silver inks and deep embossing on inner kimono (see close-up photo). Very nice bijin-ga printed by Adachi in 1961. My set contains 3 of the 4 scenes, the original deluxe canvas album case, and 3 of the original mattes. This item is from my personal collection and is not for sale.
