Catalog note / 解説

Tomb of the famous Korean potter family, Chin, in Nawashiro, Kagoshima prefecture. The Chin came to Japan 400 years ago. They were the ancestor of the "Satsuma ware". The 14th generation, Chin-jukan; received the highest cultural Medal of Honor, The Silver Crown, from the South Korean government in 1999.
