Catalog note / 解説

"Rafu-yokugo" Woman after the Bath. From the Sosaku Hanga folio, "Hanga" which was published during 1924-30, sold by subscription. The folio was in the permanent collection of Machida City International Print Museum in Tokyo. Tsuruzo was a renowned sculptor and a younger brother of Ishii Hakutei. His illustrations for the story of the sword master Miyamoto Musashi, which was published on Asahi Newspaper during 1935-39, were very popular.
