Catalog note / 解説

Prince Genji is at a silk farm. A woman came back a pile of mulberry leaves. The leaves will be chopped up and fed to silkworms which are kept on bamboo mats. After the worms become cocoons, they are boiled in water and spinned for the long silk thread.
