Colour woodblock print, oban tate-e. Farewell comedy (Nagori Kyogen), showing Nakamura Utaemon IV (Shikan) (a poem above his head) in an ornate and multi-coloured robe and a high and pointed hat performing the sambaso, a comic dance, in the play 'Matakuru haru suzuna no tanemaki' performed at the Nakamura theatre, Edo from the 9th month of 1833 (Tempo 4).
