A famous and rare long format (double triptych). Kuniyoshi portrays the desperate heroism of the Clan against all odds in the heat of battle where they were anahilated. It is interesting to note that this stunning design was produced in two stages. The right-hand triptych is dated Snake 4, 1857 and the left-hand triptych is dated Snake 8, 1857.
