Modern 24 Paragons of Filial Piety Artist: Kuniyoshi Format: Oban tate-e: 14.5" x 9.75" Subject: In the background in an oblong cartouche Taishun (T'a Shun) hoeing a field with the help of an Elephant, in the foreground the modern equivalent of the same subject in modern Edo. An extremely rare series, apparently unknown to Robinson. Like the Elephant prints in Kuniyoshi's other Filial Piety series, this design represent the masterpiece of the set.
