Friday, 11 November 2005 ARTIST: Chikanobu. FORMAT: Oban, Triptych. (14” x 28”). DATE: 1887. DESCRIPTION: Establishment of Songs for School children. Young students in Western costume sing to piano accompaniment. PUBLISHER: Yokoyama Ryohachi. CONDITION: Minor tearing to edges ? principally to base, restored. Slight overall trimming, minor marks and flaws but generally reasonably good state. Retains Japanese album backing.
