Catalog note / 解説

"Jidai Kagami" (Mirror of the Ages). Beauty in the Shouhou Era (1644-48). Upper Inset: Samurai wearing "henpuku haori". It is the outer jacket with triangular bat design sleeves which was worn by 47 Ronin in Chushingura.
