Offered here is a Fantastic Japanese woodblock print of a snow storm by Kawase HASUI and published by Watanabe, c. 1926. This print is titled "Ocha-No-Mizu, Tokyo" from the 20 views of Tokyo series. It depicts a barge moving in a canal lined with buildings in a snow storm. It is a wonderful atmospheric image. This print does Not have any publisher seals, however, judging from the paper used I am certain that it is a pre-war (1945) print and quite likely a c. 1926 trial print, as I have seen early 1920s Hasui prints that do Not bear the Watanabe seal.
