Monday, 11 April 2005 This rare color woodblock printed in 1935. The Baron Iwasaki Koyata commissioned Kawase Hasui to create 8 prints as souvenirs of the Baron's villa and gardens at his country estate in Hakone for his guests. This work is catalogued as Number 368 by Hotei. Considered by many as the most beautiful and most important work of the set, Number 368, "The Old Farm House", is the only print in the set that Hotei illustrates in his catalogue with a full page in color. The set was offered in 1935 for export with English titles ( see photo of loose title tag ). The full English title of this work is -"Old Farm House on Baron Koyata Iwasaki's Estate at Hokone".
