Morning Glories
Catalog note / 解説
Morning Glories , by Keisai Eisen (1791-1848) Competitive displays of morning glory blossoms are popular even today, and they were highly fashionable in the Edo period. The bright fresh colors of the morning glories were seen as wonderfully cooling on a sultry summer morning. These flowers appear frequently in ukiyo-e prints.
