Catalog note / 解説

From the series, "Hanga Kyoraku Ju-go Kei" (Fifteen Views of Kyoto), the five-storied pagoda of Daigo Temple, which is the head temple of Shingon Sect of Buddhism. The pagoda was build in 951 A.D. and the only structure which has been survived through the numerous fires, wars and earthquakes.
