Print shows Amakawaya Gihei, with writing materials, and his father-in-law, who is seeking a letter of divorce from Gihei so he can marry off his daughter to another man, or it may show Yuranosuke returning the letter to Gihei, rewarding him for his loyalty; also shows a young man and a woman in the background.
