Friday, 27 May 2005 Calendar Adverts: Deer and Stag Pure Silk: January 1909 Artist: Toshikata Format: Oban yoko-e: 10.25" x 15.25" Subject: A highly unusual calendar advert for 'The Kawamata Kenpu Seiren Kabushiki Kaisha' (The Kawamata Silk Refining Co., Limited.), situated at No. 7, Masagocho Itchome, Yokohama, Japan. Date: 1909 Condition: Full size. Four binding holes at top edge. Minor soils, creases, marks and flaws. Generally fine state. Colour: Fine colors. Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage and silver pigment.
