Friday, 1 April 2005 Title "Maiko Beach" (aka "Dancer's Beach") ("Maiko no Hama") Date 1938 (early printing by Yokoi, 1938-62) Provenance Small private collection, purchased in Yokosura, Japan 1957. Series na Publisher Doi Publisher ("Doi Hangaten" seal) Seal, Carver/Printer Doi "E-seal" (circa 1936-62), Harada/Yokoi (Yokoi printed 1936-65) Image Size 10 1/4 x 15 3/8 ("dai-oban") Impression Very Fine. Skillfully done "bokashi" shading; life-like reflection; light "gauffrage" to clouds; exeptionally fine detailing, crisp lines. Condition Very Good to Excellent. Exceptional colors; clean backside.
