Title Summer Moon at Miyajima Artist Koitsu Tsuchiya 1870-1949 Signature 'Koitsu'. Seal Artist's seal ('shin'). Dated 1936. Publisher Doi Hangaten. Medium/Technique Woodblock print. Description "Natsu no Tsuki Miyajima" ("Summer Moon at Miyajima"). Itsukushima (known as Miyajima) shrine. The famous tourist destination, one of the three most scenic places in Japan, is dark and quiet now. The bright moonlight shines through clouds and illuminates the siluhouette of the torii over the water surface. Format Oban yoko-e Width Item 16.7 inches = 42.5 cm Height Item 11.1 inches = 28.2 cm
